Getting There

Walking
If you are in downtown Baton Rouge, start at the Louisiana State Capitol building located at 900 North Third Street. From there, head south on North Third Street for about four blocks until you reach State Capitol Drive. Turn right onto State Capitol Drive and continue walking for about two blocks. Capitol Gardens will be on your left at 400 State Capitol Drive. The park is adjacent to the State Capitol and features beautiful landscaping and walking paths.

Public Transportation (Bus)
If you're near the Baton Rouge Bus Terminal, you can take the Capital Area Transit System (CATS) bus. Board the bus that routes towards the downtown area. Make sure to check the CATS schedule for the latest routes. Get off at the 'Capitol Park Museum' stop. From there, walk north on North Fourth Street, then take a left on State Capitol Drive. Continue walking for about two blocks, and you will find Capitol Gardens on your left at 400 State Capitol Drive.
