Getting There

• Car

  If you are in Bayou Teche and traveling by car, start by heading north on LA-31 N from Bayou Teche. Continue for about 30 miles until you reach Lafayette. Take the exit for I-10 E toward New Orleans. After approximately 5 miles, take the exit for US-167 N toward Opelousas. Merge onto US-167 N and continue for about 3 miles. Take the exit for E Alexander St and turn left onto E Alexander St. The Acadiana Park Nature Station will be on your right at 1205 E Alexander St, Lafayette, LA 70501.

  If you are using public transportation, you will first need to find a bus that operates from Bayou Teche to Lafayette. Check the local transit schedule for the most accurate routes. Once you arrive in Lafayette, disembark at the nearest stop to E Alexander St. From there, you can either walk (approximately 1 mile) or take a local taxi service to reach Acadiana Park Nature Station at 1205 E Alexander St, Lafayette, LA 70501.   For those who prefer cycling, you can bike from Bayou Teche to Acadiana Park Nature Station. Start on LA-31 N and follow it until you reach Lafayette. Once in Lafayette, navigate to E Alexander St. The ride will take approximately 2 hours, depending on your pace. Ensure to wear a helmet and follow traffic laws. There are bike racks available at the nature station for secure parking.
