    From downtown Lake Charles, head to the nearest bus stop. Take the 'Route 10 - Lake Charles to Bell City' bus. The bus will take you along LA-27. Get off at the 'Bell City' stop. From there, walk south on LA-27 for about 1.5 miles until you reach the Cameron Prairie National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center. The center will be on your left.

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Lake Charles. Start from the Lake Charles Civic Center and head south on Broad Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with LA-27. Turn left onto LA-27 and follow it for about 10 miles. You will see signs for the Cameron Prairie National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center on your right.

    If you find yourself in Bell City, you can reach the Cameron Prairie National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center by walking. From the center of Bell City, head south on LA-27 for about 1.5 miles. Be sure to stay on the shoulder of the road as you walk. The Visitor Center will be on your left side.
