    If you are starting from the downtown area of Lake Charles, head north on Ryan Street towards 12th Street. Continue walking straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Lakeshore Drive. Turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. The Lake Charles Visitor Center is located at 1205 N Lakeshore Drive, approximately 0.3 miles ahead on your left. Look for the large sign indicating the visitor center.

    From the Lake Charles Civic Center, head north on the sidewalk along the waterfront. Follow the path that runs parallel to the lake. Continue cycling for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Lakeshore Drive.
