To reach Washington Square from the French Quarter, walk to the nearest streetcar stop on Chartres Street at Esplanade Avenue. Board the Canal Street streetcar heading towards the 'Cemeteries.' Stay on the streetcar until you reach the stop at Elysian Fields Avenue. Disembark and walk east along Elysian Fields Avenue for about two blocks. Washington Square will be on your left at 700 Elysian Fields Ave.

From Jackson Square, head to the intersection of Chartres Street and Saint Ann Street. Catch the RTA Bus #55 (Elysian Fields) heading towards the end of the line. Stay on the bus for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the stop at Elysian Fields Avenue and North Rampart Street. From there, walk west along Elysian Fields Avenue for a few minutes; Washington Square will be located on your right.
