Getting There

• Walking

  If you're in the Central Business District, one of the simplest ways to reach Spanish Plaza is to walk. Start at the intersection of Canal Street and St. Charles Avenue. Head east on Canal Street for about 0.5 miles. You will pass a variety of shops and restaurants along the way. Keep walking until you see the entrance to the plaza on your left at 2 Canal St. Enjoy the scenery as you approach the plaza, which offers great views of the Mississippi River.

• Streetcar

  You can also take the iconic New Orleans streetcar. If you're near the St. Charles Avenue streetcar line, board a streetcar heading towards the 'Canal' direction. Ride it until you reach the 'Canal at Carondelet' stop. Once you exit, walk east on Canal Street for a short distance (approximately two blocks) until you arrive at Spanish Plaza at 2 Canal St. The streetcar fare is $1.25, and you will need exact change or a Jazzy Pass for rides.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling more adventurous, consider renting a bicycle. There are several bike rental shops in the Central Business District. Once you have your bike, head east on Canal Street. It's a straight route, and you will find bike lanes along the way. After about 0.5 miles, you'll arrive at Spanish Plaza at 2 Canal St. Check local rental shops for pricing, which generally ranges from $10 to $20 for a few hours.
