Walking
If you are starting from the French Quarter, head northwest on Chartres Street toward St. Louis Street. Continue on Chartres, which will turn into Royal Street. After about 0.5 miles, turn right onto Canal Street. From Canal Street, you can catch the St. Charles Streetcar. Board the streetcar at the stop nearest to you heading towards Carrollton. Ride the streetcar for approximately 15 minutes (about 8 stops) until you reach the stop at Washington Avenue. Get off at Washington Avenue and walk towards the river (down the street) until you reach Third Street. Turn left onto Third Street. The Walter Grinnan Robinson House is at 1415 Third St, just a short walk ahead on your left.

If you are near the Central Business District, walk to the nearest bus stop and catch a bus heading towards the Garden District. You can take the #11 bus towards Magazine Street. Ride until you reach the stop at St. Charles Ave & Washington Ave. From there, transfer to the St. Charles Streetcar. Board the streetcar towards Carrollton, and ride for about 3 stops to the Washington Avenue stop. After getting off, walk down Washington Avenue toward Third Street. Turn left onto Third Street, and you will find the Walter Grinnan Robinson House at 1415 Third St.
