Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving to Fairview-Riverside State Park from anywhere in Northshore, start by heading towards US-190 East. From there, merge onto US-190 E and continue for about 5 miles. Next, take the exit toward LA-22 West/Madisonville. Follow LA-22 for approximately 3 miles. Turn right onto Fairview Drive, and the park entrance will be on your left. There is no entry fee for the park, but be sure to check any additional costs for activities or rentals once inside.

• Public Transportation

  If you're using public transportation, take the local bus service that connects various parts of Northshore to Madisonville. Check the latest bus schedule to ensure the service is operational on the day of your visit. Once you arrive in Madisonville, you will need to walk for about 1 mile. Head south on LA-22 towards Fairview Drive, then turn left onto Fairview Drive. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the park entrance. Be sure to check for any fare required for the bus ride prior to boarding.

• Bicycle

  For those biking to Fairview-Riverside State Park, you can take LA-22, which has a bike lane for much of the route. From any central location in Northshore, travel towards LA-22, then head west. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules. The park is located on Fairview Drive, which you will need to turn onto for the final stretch. There are bike racks available at the park for secure parking. Be mindful of the weather and plan your route accordingly.
