If you're starting from a central location in Northshore, head southwest on US-190 W. Continue on this route for approximately 15 miles until you reach the I-10 W entrance ramp. Merge onto I-10 W and continue for about 5 miles. Take exit 234B for I-610 N toward Slidell. Merge onto I-610 N and continue for about 4 miles. Take exit 5A for Elysian Fields Ave and turn right onto Elysian Fields Ave. After about 2 miles, turn left onto Lakeshore Dr. The Milneburg Lighthouse will be located along Lakeshore Dr on your right. There is no parking fee, but ensure to follow any local parking regulations.

To reach Milneburg Lighthouse via public transportation, start by locating the nearest bus stop and taking the RTA bus route 47 (Elysian Fields) from your position in Northshore. This route will take you towards Elysian Fields Avenue. After about a 30-minute ride, disembark at the Lakeshore Dr stop. From there, walk approximately 0.5 miles south along Lakeshore Dr to reach the lighthouse. Ensure you have a Metro card for fare payment, which typically costs around $1.25 per ride.
