If you are in downtown Shreveport, start at the Shreveport Convention Center located at 400 Caddo St. Head west on Caddo St toward Market St, then turn right onto Market St. Continue north until you reach the intersection with Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway. Turn left onto Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway, and you will find the J. Bennett Johnston Waterway Regional Visitor Center at 700 Clyde Fant Memorial Pkwy on your right.

From the downtown area, locate the nearest bus stop. You can take the SporTran bus route 1 (Caddo) toward the downtown terminal. After your stop at the downtown terminal, transfer to bus route 20 (Riverfront) which will take you to a stop near Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway. Get off at the stop closest to Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway. Walk east on Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway for a few minutes, and you will reach the J. Bennett Johnston Waterway Regional Visitor Center at 700 Clyde Fant Memorial Pkwy.

If you prefer biking, rent a bike from a local bike-sharing service or a rental shop. Start from the Riverfront Park area and head towards the Riverwalk Trail. Follow the trail heading north along the Red River until you reach the junction with Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway.
