From the center of Diekirch, head south towards the main street, Rue de la Gare. Continue walking straight until you reach the train station, Gare de Diekirch. Once you arrive at the station, take any train heading towards Luxembourg City. The journey is about 30 minutes. When you arrive at Gare Luxembourg, exit the train and head towards the main exit of the station. Once outside, walk straight ahead and you will quickly reach Place des Martyrs, which is approximately a 5-minute walk from the station.

From Diekirch, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located near the main square. Take bus line 1, which directly connects Diekirch to Luxembourg City. The bus ride takes about 40 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Gare Luxembourg.' After exiting the bus, follow the signs to the main exit of the train station. Walk straight for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at Place des Martyrs.
