If you are driving to Fort Thüngen from Echternach Lake, start by heading northwest on the N10 road. Continue on N10 for about 22 kilometers until you reach the N1 exit towards Luxembourg City. Merge onto the N1 and follow the signs towards the city center. After approximately 17 kilometers, take the exit for Boulevard F. D. Roosevelt. Continue straight on this road and look for FK5, which will be on your right side after you pass the intersection with Rue de la Boucherie. Fort Thüngen will be directly ahead.
Public Transportation
To reach Fort Thüngen using public transport, start by taking Bus Line 111 from Echternach to Luxembourg City. The journey takes about 35 minutes. Once you arrive at the Luxembourg Central Station, transfer to Tram Line 1 towards 'Luxembourg, P+R Bouillon'. Get off at the 'Hamilius' stop. From there, walk down Boulevard F. D. Roosevelt for about 10 minutes until you reach FK5, where Fort Thüngen is located. It will be on your right as you approach.
