Start from the center of Echternach, specifically from the Basilica of Echternach. Head northwest on Rue de la Gare towards Place du Marché. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenue de la Libération. Walk straight for approximately 700 meters until you reach the entrance to the Parc Municipal. Enter the park and follow the pathways leading towards the river. As you approach the river, you will see a footbridge. Cross the footbridge, and you will find yourself on Chicken Island. Enjoy the scenic views and the tranquility of this beautiful park area.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike at one of the local shops in Echternach. Start your ride from the main square near the Basilica. Head northwest towards Rue de la Gare and continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenue de la Libération. Keep pedaling straight for about 1 kilometer until you arrive at the entrance of the Parc Municipal. Once inside the park, follow the bike paths that lead you to the river. After about 500 meters, you will see a footbridge. Cross it, and you will arrive at Chicken Island, where you can park your bike and explore the area.
