From the center of Echternach, start at the Abbey of Echternach. Head east towards the main road (Rue de la Gare). Turn left onto Rue de la Gare and walk straight for about 300 meters until you reach the bus station. From the bus station, take bus line 110 towards Trier. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. After arriving at the Trier bus station, disembark and head towards the city center. Follow the signs to Kornmarkt, which is just a 10-minute walk away. You will pass by the Porta Nigra on your left. Continue straight until you reach Kornmarkt.
Biking
If you have access to a bike, start at the Abbey of Echternach and follow the bike paths towards Trier. Head south on the bike trail that runs alongside the river Sûre. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will reach the outskirts of Trier. Follow the signs into the city center. Once you are in Trier, navigate towards the Kornmarkt, which is centrally located and easily accessible by bike.
Public Transport
Make your way to the Echternach bus station located near the Abbey. Take bus line 110 towards Trier. After a 30-minute ride, you will arrive at the Trier bus station. From there, exit the station and walk straight for about 10 minutes. Look for signs directing you towards Kornmarkt, which is a popular square in the city. You will pass the Porta Nigra along the way, which is a great landmark to guide you.
