Start at the Echternach town center, specifically at the Abbey of Echternach. Head southeast on Rue de l'Abbaye towards Rue du Commerce. Continue straight until you reach the main square, Place du Marché. From there, turn left onto Rue de la Gare. Follow this road as it curves and turns into Rue de Luxembourg. Keep walking until you reach the bus stop 'Echternach, Gare'. Catch the bus line 110 or 111, which heads towards Luxembourg City. Disembark at 'Luxembourg, Gare' station. Once at the station, follow the signs to the tram station. You can take tram line 2 towards 'Luxembourg, P+R Bouillon'. Get off at 'Luxembourg, Hamilius'. From there, it's a short walk: head northeast on Avenue de la Liberté, then turn left onto Rue des Capucins. Continue until you reach Mnt du Grund, where the Spanish (Grund) Gate is located.

From the Echternach town center, walk to the bus stop 'Echternach, Gare'. Take bus line 110 or 111 towards Luxembourg City. After about a 30-minute ride, get off at 'Luxembourg, Gare'. Once you arrive at the station, transfer to tram line 2 towards 'Luxembourg, P+R Bouillon'. Ride the tram for a few stops and get off at 'Luxembourg, Hamilius'. Exit the tram and walk northeast on Avenue de la Liberté, then turn left onto Rue des Capucins. Continue straight until you reach Mnt du Grund to find the Spanish (Grund) Gate.
