Getting There

    From the center of Echternach, head towards the main street, Rue de la Gare. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Rue de la Libération. Turn left onto Rue de la Libération and continue walking until you reach the bus station at the end of the street. From there, take Bus Line 114 towards Trier or any available bus heading to Trier. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Trier, disembark at the main bus station (Trier, Busbahnhof). From the bus station, walk straight ahead towards the Hauptmarkt square. Continue to follow the signs leading to the Cathedral. It is a short walk from the square; simply head towards Liebfrauenstraße, and you will see the Cathedral located at Liebfrauenstraße 12.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Echternach. Start from the center of Echternach, and head towards the cycling path that leads to Trier. Follow the cycle route signs directing you to Trier, which will take you along the scenic Mosel River. The ride takes about 30-45 minutes depending on your cycling speed. Once you arrive in Trier, continue straight on the cycling path until you reach the city center. Follow the signs to the Cathedral, and you will arrive at Liebfrauenstraße 12.

  • Public Transport

    You can also take the train from the Echternach train station. Head to the station and purchase a ticket to Trier. The train journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Trier train station, walk straight out of the station and proceed to the bus station adjacent to it. Take the bus towards the city center, and get off at the Hauptmarkt stop. Once there, follow the signs leading to the Cathedral on Liebfrauenstraße. It is a short walk from the main square.
