Escapardenne Lee Trail Travel Guide

Lacing through the rolling hills and forested plateaus of northern Luxembourg, the Escapardenne Lee Trail is one of Europe’s great long-distance hiking experiences. Beginning in the small village of Kautenbach, this 53-kilometer route allows trekkers to fully immerse themselves in the wild beauty and age-old tranquility of the Ardennes. The path weaves past rushing streams, windswept crags, and tranquil glades, offering wide vistas over wooded valleys dotted with rustic hamlets.Unlike many popular hiking corridors, the Lee Trail delivers a serene and uncrowded atmosphere. Often, the only sounds are the chirr of woodland birds and the distant gurgle of river rapids as you traverse narrow ridges, ancient beech forests, and moss-clad rock formations known as 'leeen.'
