    From Remich, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Rue de la Gare. Take the bus number 300 towards 'Trier' and disembark at the 'Trier, Hauptbahnhof' stop. From there, it is a short walk. Exit the bus station and head northwest on Bahnhofstraße. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Porta-Nigra-Platz, where the Porta Nigra will be visible on your right.

    Walk to the Remich train station. Board a train heading to Trier. Once you arrive at Trier train station, exit the station and head towards the main exit. From the train station, walk straight along Kaiserstraße. Continue until you reach Porta-Nigra-Platz, where the Porta Nigra will be on your left.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, you can cycle from Remich to Trier. Start by heading north on the cycling path along the Moselle River. Follow the signs towards Trier. The route is scenic and should take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Trier, follow the signs to Porta-Nigra-Platz, where the Porta Nigra is located.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk, follow the pathway along the Moselle River from Remich towards Trier. This is a lovely scenic route. It will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to reach Porta-Nigra-Platz. Once you reach the city center of Trier, continue walking straight until you see the Porta Nigra straight ahead.
