Getting There

Walking
From the center of Vianden, head towards Rue de la Gare and follow the signs to the bus station. Once you reach the bus station, look for the bus that goes to Luxembourg City, which should be clearly marked. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop labeled 'Gare Luxembourg'. After exiting the bus, head towards the main square of the station. You will see a large open area; walk straight through the square towards the street called Avenue de la Liberté. Continue walking until you reach Place des Martyrs, which will be on your left.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike rental spots in Vianden. Start at the Vianden Tourist Office and head towards the main road leading to the town exit. Follow the signs for Luxembourg City, which will take you through the scenic route along the river. The bike ride will take about 40 minutes. Once you arrive in Luxembourg, park your bike near the train station, and walk to Place des Martyrs, which is a short 10-minute walk from there.

To get to Place des Martyrs via public transport, first take the bus from Vianden to Luxembourg City. Look for bus lines 570 or 571 at the Vianden bus stop. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Gare Luxembourg, exit the bus and head towards the large square in front of the station. From there, take Avenue de la Liberté and continue straight for a few minutes until you see Place des Martyrs on your left.
