Car
If you are driving, start from the town center of Analanjirofo. Head southeast on Route Nationale 5 (RN5) towards the coastal area. Continue on RN5 for about 75 kilometers until you reach the junction at Vavatenina. Turn right onto Route 12 (RN12) and follow it along the coast for approximately 10 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signs leading to Baie de Tintingue. The final stretch will take you directly to the bay area, where you can find parking spaces available near the beach.
Public Transportation (Taxi-Brousse)
To reach Baie de Tintingue using public transportation, you can take a taxi-brousse from Analanjirofo. Head to the main taxi-brousse station in town and look for a taxi-brousse heading towards Vavatenina. The fare is approximately 10,000 MGA (Malagasy Ariary). The journey will take about 2 hours. Once you arrive in Vavatenina, you will need to hire a local taxi to take you to Baie de Tintingue, which should cost around 5,000 MGA. The taxi ride from Vavatenina to Baie de Tintingue will take about 15-20 minutes.
Walking
If you're staying near the beach area or in a nearby village, walking to Baie de Tintingue is a wonderful option to enjoy the local scenery. From your accommodation, head towards the coast, following any local paths or roads leading to the beach. It’s advisable to ask locals for the best routes, as there may not be marked trails. Depending on your starting point, the walk could take anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour.
