Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the center of Antananarivo, head east on Avenue de l'Indépendance towards Rue de l'Université. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rue Pierre Stibbe. Turn left onto Rue Pierre Stibbe and follow it until you reach Avenue Général de Gaulle. Turn right onto Avenue Général de Gaulle and continue straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several local shops and eateries along the way. Keep an eye out for signs pointing to Tana 102. As you approach the area, you will see signs for Burnham Nature Sanctuary. The entrance is located at Tana 102 Tananarive, 102.

  • Public Transport (Taxi-Brousse)

    From the center of Antananarivo, head to the main taxi-brousse station located at Gare Routière d'Avaradoha. Look for a taxi-brousse heading towards the area of Tana 102 or any bus that indicates a stop at 'Tana 102'. Once you board, inform the driver of your destination. After about 20-30 minutes, the taxi-brousse will drop you off near Tana 102. From there, walk approximately 10 minutes towards the sanctuary, following the local signs directing you to Burnham Nature Sanctuary.
