Getting There

  • Walking

    From the city center (Analakely), walk towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Follow this road until you reach the intersection with Rue de l'Université. Turn left onto Rue de l'Université and continue walking until you reach the large roundabout, known as Place de l'Indépendance. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rue Colonel Marchand. Continue straight until you reach a fork in the road, where you will see signs directing you to the Queen's Palace (Rova of Antananarivo). Take the right fork onto Lalana Ramboatiana. After a short walk, you will see the entrance to the Queen's Palace on your left.

  • Public Transport (Taxi-Be)

    From Analakely, find a Taxi-Be (shared taxi) heading towards the Rova of Antananarivo. Look for a taxi with a sign indicating 'Rova' or 'Queen's Palace.' The fare is usually very affordable. Once you are on the taxi, inform the driver you want to go to the Queen's Palace. The taxi will drop you off at the closest point to the entrance. From there, it’s a short walk uphill to the entrance of the palace.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from Analakely and head towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Follow the same path as described for walking. Use the bike lanes where available, and proceed to Rue de l'Université. After making your way to the roundabout at Place de l'Indépendance, follow Rue Colonel Marchand and take the right fork onto Lalana Ramboatiana. After cycling up the hill, you will arrive at the Queen's Palace.
