Walking
Start at the main square of Antananarivo, called 'Place de l'Indépendance'. From there, head east towards Rue de l'Indépendance. Walk along this street until you reach the intersection with Avenue de l'Ankaratra. Take a left onto Avenue de l'Ankaratra and continue straight for about 1 km. You will pass several shops and local eateries. Keep an eye out for local landmarks like the Hotel de Ville (Town Hall) on your right. After about 15 minutes of walking, turn right onto Rue des 67 Ha. Continue on this road for another 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Avenue de l'Université. At this point, you should see signs indicating the direction to Tsararay Ampitatafika. Follow the signs, and after a short walk of approximately 10 minutes, you will arrive at Tsararay Ampitatafika, located at 2FXH+FHV. Enjoy the gardens!
Public Transport (Taxi-Brousse)
From the 'Place de l'Indépendance', walk to the nearby taxi-brousse station located at the end of Avenue de l'Indépendance. Look for a taxi-brousse heading towards Ampitatafika. The fare is usually very affordable, around 2000 Ariary. Once on the taxi-brousse, inform the driver that you want to stop at Tsararay Ampitatafika. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic. When you arrive, you'll see local markets and shops. Look for signposts or locals to guide you to the entrance of the gardens, which is a short walk from where the taxi drops you off.
