From the center of Antsiranana, head towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Walk along this avenue until you reach the intersection with Rue de l'Université. Turn right onto Rue de l'Université and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Avenue Général de Gaulle. Here, you will find local shops and small cafés, which can be a good place to stop for refreshments. Turn left onto Avenue Général de Gaulle and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the exit towards Route de la Montagne. Follow this road until you see signs indicating the way to Viewpoint French Mountain. The path to the viewpoint will be steep, so be prepared for a short hike uphill. You will know you're getting close when you start seeing beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.

From the center of Antsiranana, head to the main taxi-brousse station located near the market. Take a taxi-brousse heading towards Montagne d'Ambre National Park. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the nearest drop-off point for Viewpoint French Mountain. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive, you may need to walk approximately 20 minutes uphill to reach the viewpoint. Follow the signs directing you towards the 'Viewpoint' which will lead you through local paths.
