Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Toliara (also known as Tulear). Head north on Avenue de l'Indépendance towards the RN7 highway. Continue straight until you reach RN7, then turn left. Follow RN7 for approximately 15 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signs indicating Arboretum d'Antsokay. The entrance will be on your right. There is ample parking available on-site.
Public Transportation
To reach Arboretum d'Antsokay by public transport, you can take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from Toliara's main taxi-brousse station. Look for a taxi-brousse heading towards Antananarivo or any vehicle that stops at RN7. The fare is typically around 1,500 to 2,000 MGA. Inform the driver of your destination; they will drop you off near the entrance to the arboretum. Be prepared for a short walk to the entrance from the drop-off point.
Walking
If you are already nearby and prefer to walk, ensure you are on RN7. From the closest main landmark, such as the Toliara market, head south towards RN7. Once you reach RN7, walk approximately 2 kilometers to the north. The arboretum entrance will be on your right. The walk may take about 30-40 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
