Getting There
Car
If you are driving from the center of Taolagnaro, head west on Avenue de l'Indépendance towards Route Nationale 7. Continue on Route Nationale 7 for about 5 kilometers, following the signs towards ANDRANARA RESERVE. Watch for the signs indicating the entrance to the reserve, which will be to your right at XWGR+2CR. Please note that the roads may be unpaved and could require a 4x4 vehicle, especially during rainy seasons.
Public Transportation
From the main bus station in Taolagnaro, look for a 'taxi-brousse' (shared taxi) heading towards the towns near ANDRANARA RESERVE. Make sure to inform the driver of your destination. The fare is typically around 2000 to 5000 Ariary depending on the distance. Once you arrive at the closest drop-off point, you may need to walk or arrange for a local taxi to take you the remaining distance to ANDRANARA RESERVE, which is about 2 kilometers from the drop-off point.
Walking
If you are already close to ANDRANARA RESERVE, you can walk from nearby locations. Follow local paths that lead to the entrance at XWGR+2CR. Make sure to ask locals for directions as they can provide the best routes through the area.
