Getting There

    To reach Tsingy Rouge by car, you will need to first drive to the town of Mahajanga, located on the northwest coast of Madagascar. From Mahajanga, you will need to take the Route Nationale 4 towards the south. After approximately 50 kilometers, you will reach the town of Soalala. From Soalala, continue on Route Nationale 4 for another 40 kilometers until you reach the entrance to Tsingy Rouge. The road leading to Tsingy Rouge may be rough and unpaved in some sections, so it is recommended to have a 4WD vehicle for this journey.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are taking public transportation to Tsingy Rouge, you can first take a taxi-brousse (shared taxi) from Mahajanga to Soalala. From Soalala, you can then hire a local guide with a 4WD vehicle to take you to Tsingy Rouge. Alternatively, you can take a taxi-brousse from Mahajanga to the town of Marovoay, and from there, transfer to another taxi-brousse heading towards Tsingy Rouge. Keep in mind that public transportation options may be limited and schedules may not be reliable, so it is recommended to plan your journey in advance.
