Car
From the center of Betsiboka, head south on Route Nationale 1 (RN1) towards Antananarivo. Continue for approximately 200 kilometers (about 3-4 hours) until you reach Antananarivo. Once in Antananarivo, follow signs toward the city center. Take Avenue de l'Indépendance and then turn onto Lalana Printsy Ratsimamanga. The Andafiavaratra Palace will be located on your right at number 9. Parking may be available on the street or at nearby facilities, but be cautious of local parking regulations.
Public Transportation (Taxi-Brousse)
From Betsiboka, you can take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) to Antananarivo. Head to the local taxi-brousse station and look for a taxi-brousse heading to Antananarivo. The fare is typically around 20,000 to 30,000 MGA (Malagasy Ariary). The journey takes about 4-5 hours depending on traffic and stops. Once you arrive at the taxi-brousse station in Antananarivo, you can take a local taxi to Andafiavaratra Palace. Provide the address (9 Lalana Printsy Ratsimamanga) to the driver, and the fare will be around 5,000 to 10,000 MGA.
Walking
If you are already in Antananarivo, you can reach Andafiavaratra Palace by walking from the city center. From Avenue de l'Indépendance, head east towards Rue de l'Indépendance, then continue onto Lalana Printsy Ratsimamanga. The palace is about a 15-20 minute walk from the city center. Be mindful of your surroundings and stay in well-lit areas, especially if walking in the evening.
