Getting There

Car
From the center of Betsiboka, head southeast on Route Nationale 4 (RN4) towards Mahajanga. Continue on RN4 for approximately 35 kilometers until you reach a junction. At the junction, take a right onto the unpaved road towards Betsiko. Drive carefully for about 10 kilometers, as the road may be rough. Look for signs indicating the direction to Betsiko. After about 10 kilometers, you will arrive at the base of the mountain. Parking may be available nearby.

Taxi-Brousse
In Betsiboka, locate the main taxi-brousse station. Board a taxi-brousse heading towards Mahajanga. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the junction for Betsiko. The fare should be around 2000 Ariary. After about 35 kilometers, at the junction, disembark and wait for a passing vehicle or a local guide to take you the remaining distance to Betsiko (approximately 10 kilometers). Be prepared to negotiate the fare for the short drive, which should be around 5000 Ariary.

If you prefer to walk, from the junction after taking the taxi-brousse, you can walk the remaining 10 kilometers to Betsiko. This journey will take approximately 2 to 3 hours depending on your pace.
