Ensure your vehicle is suitable for potentially rough terrain, as some sections may not be well maintained.

  To reach Grottes de Belobaka via public transportation from Mahajanga, you will first need to take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) heading east towards Antsohihy. You can find taxi-brousses at the main station in Mahajanga. After about an hour (depending on traffic), ask the driver to drop you off near the intersection with the Unnamed Road (you may need to clarify with locals or other passengers).
