Getting There

Walking
From the center of Diego Suarez, head south on Avenue de l'Indépendance towards Avenue de la République. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit to Avenue Colonel Abel Anjara. Walk for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route National 6 (RN6). Turn left onto RN6 and continue walking. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will see signs directing you toward Pain de Sucre. Follow the signs for another 1 kilometer until you reach the entrance to the beach area of Pain de Sucre.

Bicycle
Start at the city center of Diego Suarez and rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Cycle south on Avenue de l'Indépendance and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Avenue Colonel Abel Anjara. Keep pedaling for about 1.5 kilometers to the intersection with Route National 6 (RN6). Turn left onto RN6 and ride for about 2 kilometers. Look out for signs for Pain de Sucre and follow them for approximately 1 kilometer to reach the destination.

From the central market area of Diego Suarez, locate the taxi-brousse station where shared taxis operate. Board a taxi-brousse heading towards Antsiranana or a nearby beach destination; confirm with the driver that they will pass by Pain de Sucre. The ride will take around 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at the drop-off point close to Pain de Sucre, ask the driver or locals for directions to the beach, which is a short walk away.
