Car
From the center of Ihorombe, head southeast on Route Nationale 7 (RN7) towards Ampasipohy. Continue for approximately 60 km until you reach the junction for Ampasipohy. Turn right onto the local road leading to Ampasipohy. Once in Ampasipohy, follow the signs to Lokobe Nature Special Reserve, which is located at J86R+69M. Parking is available near the entrance of the reserve. Please note that some roads may be unpaved, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

Public Transportation
From the main bus station in Ihorombe, take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) heading towards Ampasipohy. The fare is approximately 5,000 Ariary (around $1.50) and the journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the stops. Once you arrive in Ampasipohy, you can either walk or take a local taxi to the entrance of Lokobe Nature Special Reserve located at J86R+69M. Expect to pay around 2,000 Ariary for the local taxi service.

For a unique experience, you can reach Lokobe Nature Special Reserve by boat from a nearby fishing village. First, travel to the village by taxi-brousse or car. From the village, hire a local fisherman or guide to take you across the water. This method typically costs around 10,000 to 15,000 Ariary (about $3 to $4.50) per person and takes about 30 minutes. Ensure to negotiate the price beforehand and confirm the return trip.
