Getting There

From the center of Ihorombe, take Route Nationale 7 (RN7) heading south towards Ambalavao. After approximately 15 kilometers, look for a sign indicating a left turn towards Anja Community Reserve. Follow this road for about 6 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the reserve. Expect to pay a small entrance fee, typically around 10000 Ariary (approximately $2.50 USD).

Head to the local taxi-brousse station in Ihorombe. Take a taxi-brousse heading south to Ambalavao. The fare is usually around 5000 Ariary ($1.25 USD). Inform the driver that you want to stop at Anja Community Reserve. After about 45 minutes, the driver will drop you off at the junction where you need to turn left towards the reserve. From there, you can either walk the remaining 6 kilometers or hire a local guide or taxi to take you directly to the entrance of the reserve.
