Getting There

  • Car

    From the center of Ihorombe, head south toward RN7. Keep driving along RN7 for about 45 kilometers until you reach the town of Ranohira. Once in Ranohira, look for signs directing you to Parc Isalo. Turn left onto the road leading to Parc Isalo and continue for 3 kilometers. Ecolodge D Isalo will be located on your right at 313 Parc Isalo. Be cautious of road conditions, as some areas may be rough.

    Take a taxi-brousse (shared taxi) from the center of Ihorombe heading towards Ranohira. The journey should take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on stops along the way. Once you arrive in Ranohira, disembark at the main taxi-brousse station. From there, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Ecolodge D Isalo. If walking, head south towards RN7, then turn left onto the road leading to Parc Isalo and continue for approximately 3 kilometers until you see the lodge on your right.
