From Ihorombe, head southeast on Route Nationale 7 (RN7) towards the town of Fianarantsoa. After approximately 60 kilometers, take the exit towards the D20 road. Continue for about 20 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for Lake Tritriva. Follow signs for 'Lac Tritriva' and proceed on the dirt road leading to the lake. The journey should take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on road conditions.

Catch a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from the main taxi-brousse station in Ihorombe heading towards Fianarantsoa. Make sure to inform the driver that you wish to stop at Lake Tritriva. The fare usually costs around 5,000 Ariary per person. The journey to Fianarantsoa takes about 1.5 hours. Once you reach Fianarantsoa, you may need to take another taxi-brousse or a local taxi to reach the D20 road turnoff for Lake Tritriva. Expect a total travel time of approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.

If you find yourself near the lake after reaching the D20 road, you can walk the last segment to Lake Tritriva. The walk from the D20 turnoff to the lake is roughly 3 kilometers.
