If you are driving, head towards the town of Soavinandriana from your location in Itasy. Follow Route Nationale 1 (RN1) towards the south until you see signs for Lac Itasy. The lake is approximately 15 km from Soavinandriana. Take a left turn towards the lake, and follow the road for about 5 km until you reach the lakeside. Make sure to have a map or GPS as the roads can be winding.

To reach Lac Itasy using public transportation, take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from Itasy to Soavinandriana. The fare is approximately 2,000 MGA. Once you arrive in Soavinandriana, look for local taxis or moto-taxis that can take you to Lac Itasy. The cost for this short ride is about 5,000 MGA. Ensure you confirm the price before getting in.
