Getting There

Walking
Starting from the center of Majunga, head east towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Walk along this road until you reach the intersection with Rue de la République. Continue straight onto Rue de la République, passing local shops and cafes. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach a small roundabout. Take the second exit onto Avenue de la Révolution. Follow this avenue for another 1.5 kilometers, enjoying the sights of the city. You will eventually see signs for Plage du Cirque Rouge. Continue straight until you reach a fork in the road, then take the left path that leads towards Ampitolova. After approximately 500 meters, you will arrive at the entrance of Plage du Cirque Rouge.

Bicycle
From the central market in Majunga, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops. Start heading south on Avenue de la Révolution. Pedal for about 2 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Avenue de l'Indépendance. Turn right onto Avenue de l'Indépendance, then take the next left onto Rue de la République. Continue straight for another kilometer, then follow the signs towards Plage du Cirque Rouge. The last stretch will have some scenic views of the coastline. Park your bicycle at the designated area at the beach entrance.

From the main bus station in Majunga, look for a 'taxi-brousse' (shared taxi) heading towards Ampitolova. These are usually marked with their destination. Board the taxi-brousse and inform the driver that you wish to go to Plage du Cirque Rouge. The journey should take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Ampitolova area, walk towards the coast, and follow the path to the beach. Look for signs directing you to Plage du Cirque Rouge.
