Walking

Starting from the city center of Majunga, head south on Avenue de l'Indépendance. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout at Place de la Réunion. Take the first exit onto Avenue de la Révolution, heading east. Follow this avenue as it curves to the left and becomes Boulevard des Fokontany. Keep walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Rue de la Liberté. Turn right onto Rue de la Liberté and continue straight for another 500 meters. You will arrive at a small park area; from here, you can ask locals for directions to Surepipe Tree, as it is a known landmark in the community.

Bicycle

If you have access to a bicycle, start at the waterfront along Boulevard de la République. Ride south towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Continue to the roundabout at Place de la Réunion and take the first exit onto Avenue de la Révolution. Cycle along this road for about 2 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Rue de la Liberté. Turn right onto Rue de la Liberté and proceed for about another kilometer. You will find local signs or people who can help direct you to the Surepipe Tree.

Public Transport

From the main bus station in Majunga, take a local 'taxi-be' (shared minibus) heading to Antanambao Ambalavato. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the stop closest to Surepipe Tree. Once you arrive, you may need to walk a short distance; ask locals for the best route as they are familiar with the area.
