Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Manakara, start at the main market (Marché de Manakara). Head southeast on Avenue de la République. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rue de la Liberté. Turn left onto Rue de la Liberté and continue walking. You will pass several local shops and cafes along the way. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards RN12. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will reach a junction. At the junction, turn right onto RN12. Abbatoir Manakara is located a short distance ahead on your left, at the address R2Q2+XR6. Look for a small park area, which is the entrance to Abbatoir Manakara.

• Bicycle

  If you have access to a bicycle, you can take a scenic route to Abbatoir Manakara. Begin at the beachfront area in Manakara. Cycle north along the coastal road, enjoying the sea views. After about 2 kilometers, you will reach the main market area. From there, follow the walking directions by heading southeast on Avenue de la République. When you reach the intersection with Rue de la Liberté, turn left and continue toward RN12. Upon reaching RN12, Abbatoir Manakara will be on your left after a short distance.

• Public Transport

  If you prefer public transport, you can take a taxi-brousse (shared taxi). Head to the main taxi-brousse station in Manakara, located near the market. Look for a taxi-brousse heading towards RN12. Once you are on board, inform the driver that you are going to Abbatoir Manakara, or simply ask to be dropped off at the nearest point. The journey will take approximately 10-15 minutes. After disembarking, walk a short distance along RN12 until you see Abbatoir Manakara on your left.
