  • Car

    From Sava, head south on Route Nationale 5 (RN5) towards the town of Sambava. This route will take you through lush landscapes and small villages. The distance is approximately 60 kilometers and will take around 1-1.5 hours. Once you reach Sambava, continue on the RN5, which will lead you through the town. After Sambava, continue following the signs towards Antongil Bay, which is approximately 30 kilometers to the east. Make sure to check local maps or GPS for any detours or conditions along the way.

  • Public Transportation (Taxi-Brousse)

    From Sava, you can take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) to Sambava. These depart from the main taxi-brousse station in Sava. The fare is usually around 3,000 MGA. The journey to Sambava takes about 1-1.5 hours. Once in Sambava, you can take another taxi-brousse heading towards Antongil Bay, which will cost you approximately 5,000 MGA. The taxi-brousse should drop you off near the entrance of Antongil Bay.
