Exceptional 3 Day Andasibe Rainforest & Wildlife Excursion in Madagascar

We had a wonderful time with Maki Adventures! Lionel was extremely helpful over WhatsApp and answered all our questions and addressed any concerns we had during the booking process, and also throughout our excursion. In particular, when one of our flights was delayed, Lionel accommodated our revised schedule and arranged for us to be picked up at the airport upon landing for the drive to our accommodation in Andasibe during the evening such that we would not miss out on the numerous excursions. Lionel also provided us with all the information we needed for the tour and kept in contact during the tour. Our driver Harrison was amazing and took extremely good care of us throughout our 3 day excursion. We learnt a lot from Harrison about Madagascar. He was very engaging and has a great personality. Harrison’s driving skills were exceptional. The roads in Madagascar are challenging, to say the least! Our 3 day excursion ran very smoothly and we had a great time! All the park/reserve guides we were assigned were excellent and provided great insight and personal interaction with the wildlife & flora/fauna we encountered (including the numerous lemurs we were able to locate and view). We highly recommend this trip if you want to visit a national park and other reserves close to Antananarivo to see lemurs, native birds, chameleons and other reptiles during your excursion.

Very friendly guide and...

Very friendly and thoughtful guide as well as the driver. Encounters with several species of lemurs including the largest of the lemurs, the Indri Indri, in the wild and discovery of some other animal and plant species in the Vakona reserve. The return trip is long (5 hours) but we were satisfied with our day and learned a lot about Madagascar and its people thanks to our guide.

The communication with the operator was easy and very responsive. The car we got was as described, arrived on time with a very professional driver (which proved himself as super driver on the road to Mantadia Park ) our English speaking guide was very smart with vest knowledge and explained a lot about everything from history through geography botanics and wildlife, and spared us no details. They were also very responsive to special requests for stops and such.
