Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Antalaha, the capital of Sava region. Head south on the RN5 road towards Andapa. Continue on RN5 for about 90 km until you reach a junction near Andapa. Take the left turn onto the RN24 road, which leads towards Maroantsetra. Follow RN24 for approximately 60 km until you reach the town of Vohemar. From Vohemar, continue east along the coastal road (the R10) for around 25 km. Look for signs indicating Tsingy Rouge. The entrance is located at the coordinates -12.635686, 49.493611. Note: Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain, as the last few kilometers may be on unpaved roads.
Public Transportation
To reach Tsingy Rouge via public transport, start at Antalaha and take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) heading to Vohemar. The journey will take about 3-4 hours and costs around 20,000 Ariary. Once you arrive in Vohemar, you may need to hire a local taxi or arrange a private vehicle to continue to Tsingy Rouge. Expect to pay around 50,000-70,000 Ariary for the taxi from Vohemar to the Tsingy Rouge site. The driver will be familiar with the area and can navigate the unpaved roads. Make sure to confirm the price before departing.
