Walking
If you are starting from the Toamasina city center (Place de la République), head east towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue de la Liberté. Turn right onto Avenue de la Liberté and continue straight. After about 1 km, you will reach the intersection with Rue de l'Université. Turn left onto Rue de l'Université and walk for another 500 meters. You will see Château d'eau on your right, near the coordinates RCV2+4GJ.
Public Transport (Taxi-Be)**
From the Toamasina bus station (Gare Routière), take a local taxi-be (shared taxi) heading towards Tanamborozano. Tell the driver to drop you off near RCV2+4GJ. The ride should take around 15 minutes. Once you get off, walk about 200 meters to your left, and Château d'eau will be in sight.
Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start from the Toamasina port area and head north towards Avenue de la Liberté. Continue cycling straight for about 1.5 km until you reach Rue de l'Université. Turn left and cycle for 500 meters. Château d'eau will be on your right side. Make sure to obey traffic rules and watch out for pedestrians.
