Car
If you are driving from Antananarivo, take RN7 south towards Fianarantsoa. After about 130 km, you will reach the town of Ambositra. Continue on RN7 for another 130 km until you reach the town of Antananarivo. From there, take the road to Ankarana. The total drive may take around 5-6 hours depending on traffic. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition as some roads may be rough.
Public Transportation
To reach Réserve spéciale d’Ankarana via public transport, start at the main taxi-brousse station in Antananarivo. Take a taxi-brousse heading to Fianarantsoa. After reaching Fianarantsoa, switch to another taxi-brousse to Ankarana. The entire journey may take up to 8 hours, including transfer times. Make sure to check the schedule in advance, as departures can vary.
