Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the visitor center at Acadia National Park, head out of the visitor center and turn right onto Route 3. Walk along Route 3 for about 1 mile until you reach the entrance to Cadillac Mountain Road. The road is not open to pedestrians, but you can walk to the intersection of Route 3 and Cadillac Mountain Road, where you can catch the Island Explorer shuttle bus.

    Once you reach the intersection of Route 3 and Cadillac Mountain Road, look for the Island Explorer shuttle bus stop. The shuttle operates during the summer months and will take you directly to Cadillac Mountain. Make sure to check the shuttle schedule for the latest times and routes.
