Getting There

Walking from the Hulls Cove Visitor Center
Start your journey at the Hulls Cove Visitor Center. Head east on Route 3 towards Bar Harbor. After about 1 mile, you'll see the entrance to Acadia National Park. Continue walking through the park entrance. Follow the signs leading to the Ocean Path Trail. This scenic trail runs parallel to the coastline. You will pass several notable points along the way. After approximately 2 miles, you will arrive at Thunder Hole, where you can enjoy the sound of the crashing waves.

Biking from Bar Harbor
If you're starting from Bar Harbor, rent a bike and head towards the park. Follow the bike path along Route 3, which will take you directly into Acadia National Park. Once you enter the park, continue on the bike path until you reach the Ocean Path. Take the Ocean Path towards Thunder Hole, which is about 2 miles from the park entrance.
