    From the main visitor center of Acadia National Park, head south on Route 3 towards Bar Harbor. Continue walking along the scenic path that runs parallel to the road for about 1 mile. You will pass by various viewpoints and nature trails. Once you reach the intersection with Schooner Head Road, turn left. Walk along Schooner Head Road for about 0.5 miles, and you will find Highseas at 276 Schooner Head Rd on your left. Look for the sign indicating the research foundation.

  • Public Transit (Bus)

    Start at the main visitor center of Acadia National Park, where you can catch the Island Explorer bus service. Board the bus heading towards Bar Harbor. Ride for about 10 minutes, and get off at the stop closest to Schooner Head Road. From there, walk along Schooner Head Road for about 0.5 miles until you reach Highseas at 276 Schooner Head Rd on your left.

    If you have access to a bicycle, start at the main visitor center of Acadia National Park. Ride south on Route 3 towards Bar Harbor.
