If you're starting from the Augusta Civic Center, head northeast on Community Drive toward Civic Center Drive. Turn left onto Civic Center Drive, then right onto State Street (US-202). Continue walking on State Street for about 0.6 miles. Look for the signs for the Maine General Medical Center, and continue until you reach Hospital Street. Turn left onto Hospital Street, and after a short walk, Viles Arboretum will be on your right at 153 Hospital St.

From the Augusta Downtown Bus Terminal, take the Kennebec Explorer Bus Route 1 towards the Augusta Marketplace. Get off at the stop on State Street in front of Maine General Medical Center.
