    Bus

    From Bar Harbor, head to the main bus stop located at the intersection of Main Street and Cottage Street. Look for the Island Explorer bus service. Board the bus heading towards Southwest Harbor. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Southwest Harbor stop. From there, walk along Main Street until you reach the intersection with Route 102. Turn left onto Route 102 and continue walking for about 1 mile until you see the entrance to Ship Harbor Trail on your right.

    Bike

    If you're renting a bike in Bar Harbor, start at the Bar Harbor Village Green. Head southwest on Main Street, then take a left onto West Street. Follow West Street, which will turn into Route 3. Continue on Route 3 for about 4 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 102. Turn right onto Route 102 and ride for about 1 mile until you see the Ship Harbor Trail entrance on your right. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local biking rules.

    Walking

    If you prefer to walk, begin at the Bar Harbor Village Green. Head southwest along Main Street, then turn left onto West Street. Continue straight until you reach Route 3. Turn right onto Route 3 and walk for approximately 4 miles. You will pass by several local shops and eateries. When you reach the intersection with Route 102, turn right and continue walking for about 1 mile. The entrance to Ship Harbor Trail will be on your right.
