Start your journey at the Village Green, a central park in Bar Harbor. From the Village Green, head northwest on Main Street. Continue walking straight until you reach West Street. Turn left onto West Street and walk until you get to the intersection with Eden Street. At Eden Street, turn right and continue walking until you reach the end of Eden Street. You will see the entrance to the Bar Island Trail on your left, which is the starting point for accessing the Bar Island Land Bridge.

Bicycling
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Bar Harbor. Start at the shop and head towards the Village Green. From the Village Green, bike northwest on Main Street. When you reach West Street, turn left and continue until you arrive at the intersection with Eden Street. Turn right on Eden Street and bike until you see the entrance to Bar Island Trail on your left. Park your bike at the designated area before heading onto the trail to the Land Bridge.

While Bar Harbor has limited public transportation options, you can take the Island Explorer bus service, which operates during the summer months. Board a bus that heads towards the Bar Harbor Village Green. Once you arrive at the Village Green, follow the directions for walking: head northwest on Main Street, turn left onto West Street, then right onto Eden Street, and finally, look for the entrance to Bar Island Trail on your left.
